Our driver, Bob, was assigned to get us from our home in Mequon Wisconsin down to O’Hare Airport in Chicago. We had planned, what we thought, was a reasonable amount of time for this.
However, an overnight large episode of snow left us scrambling in the morning.
We had to be there by 7 AM. Bob drove as fast as he safely could. Once we reached the Illinois Turnpike, the road conditions improved, and he made a valiant effort to get us there.
We arrived at the curbside check-in and got our bags checked in “just in time“ according to the employees. Apparently for international flights, for security reasons,if the bags are not delivered to the airline at least one hour ahead of time, the computer shuts down and will not let us board. Consequently, we would’ve missed our layover flight in Miami and ended up in the Cayman Islands at 10 o’clock at night.
The employee told us how lucky we were that we beat the deadline by two minutes. Thanks to Bob.
FIVE STAR EFFORT!!!
